Disclaimer

Civil Servitude is about the local government in a fictional suburb called Bluff City. 

The characters are in no way meant to represent real people, so even though they may look like someone you know, please realize that government employment tends to attract certain people who can be easily stereotyped.  My cartoon characters are based on those stereotypes and are in no way meant to represent real people, living or dead. 

Many of the situations, sadly, are true. Truth is always funnier than fiction.

To cover my behind with my boss, my boss's boss, and my boss's boss's boss, the Mayor of the local government organization that I currently work for, please know that this is a part-time project performed at home and not on city-time. I've read the city work rules and determined that I am in no way violating said work rules as long as I don't use or attempt "to use employment with the City or knowledge acquired while working for the City for personal gain or advantage, in a manner which would violate the ethics laws of the State of Ohio pertaining to public employees, or any other violation of said ethics laws."

No ethics violations here, and nothing I'm afraid of seeing on the front page of the newspaper.  In fact, I would love to see Civil Servitude featured in any newspaper anywhere (hint, hint)! 

For now, I'm just making lemonade with life's lemons.
